The congregation at Kingswells welcomes children to our Church. We recognise the important part young people play through their presence, and their participation, in enriching our worship and the fellowship within our Church community.

All young people who come to Church on Sunday attend the first part of Morning Worship with their families, after which they leave Church for their own programme of activities.

Jaffa Kids

The programme is organised for each Sunday during the school term and is for children from Nursery/P1 – P6.

The programme during term-time uses a new curriculum called Spill the Beans. We aim to provide fun activities, friendship, stories, song, craft, cookery and games. We hope to encourage the children to explore their knowledge and understanding of Bible stories and the place of God in our lives.

In the holidays we hope families will attend church when there will be provision for children to leave church for games or ‘Veggie Kids’ DVDs.

Crèche

Crèche is available every Sunday morning and caters for babies and youngsters up to about 3 or 4 years of age.  The crèche has a full cupboard of age-appropriate toys, games and songs to keep everyone happy and entertained.

For the crèche rota please look on the Church calendar page. If you would like to be included on the list, please tell Jackie. New members are always welcome!

Youth Group

P6 and up are invited to Youth Group. We meet every other Sunday from 1700 to 1800 at the Manse. For dates please look at the Church Calendar.

Help Out

At Kingswells Church we value the presence of young people and their families in our church. You can help us with this by:

  • Bringing your children/grandchildren to church on Sunday and encourage them to take part in our children’s activities.
  • Looking at our notice board to see what we have been doing – and talk to us about what’s going on.
  • Signing up to be a Visiting Helper.
  • Considering becoming part of the Jaffa Kids or Youth Group teams. Participation is flexible and rewarding. To find out more please contact the minister.
